Polly Sellers RHIA, CRC
She began her HIM path in Texas in 2001 and has taken a roundabout journey back to her home state of Virginia in 2015, managing and directing many HIM facilities, both large and small, but teaching has long been a joy. For over 5 years she was a HIM program chair for a CAHIIM accredited VA based university, helping students find their own path in HIM. Polly and Tami have been colleagues and friends since 2010 and even teaching together for several years.

Tami Wood MSML, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P
Began her HIM journey in 1999 earning multiple degrees and including most recently her master’s at Western Governor’s University (WGU) in 2024. Her pride and joy is inpatient coding/auditing as well as educator for a variety a facilities including most recently Sarasota, FL and Duke University in NC through Sam’s Staff. She was also a part of the ground- breaking program, AHIMA’s Train the Trainer when ICD-10CM/PCS when it was launched. Most recently Tami and Polly together have attended multiple State HIM conventions and joined in Hill Day, representing AHIMA to members of both US Congress and the Senate.

Sundae is a Senior Outpatient Compliance Auditor for Optum. She has been coding outpatient procedures since December 2007. She started as a biller then transitioned into coding and was fortunate to start in Trauma and Surgery, which she fell in love with. Sundae is working on finishing her bachelor’s degree in HIM at WGU and sat for her RHIA. After receiving her RHIA Sundae started auditing which led to her current opportunity.

Sundae is currently pursuing her masters at WGU in Healthcare Analytics. She looks forward to achieving her goal of being a data analyst. She has a new granddaughter and enjoys any free time she has playing with her.
